چکیده
Genetic factors such as single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) are thought to contribute the increasing incidence of diabetes mellitus (DM) through insulin resistance. SNPs in RETN (resistin) gene encoding resistin protein have been reported play a role causing abnormalities blood glucose and lipid metabolism. Still, studies related this rarely explored cohort population models. This study aimed evaluate relationship trend triglyceride-glucose index (TyG) proxy for The data were obtained from results biomedical laboratory examination among participants Kebon Kalapa subdistrict, Bogor, every odd year period between 2015-2021 genotyping (rs3745367). generalized linear model (GLM) repeated measurement technique was used with TyG value dependent variable. GLM analysis showed that although there significant difference observation periods [F(2,87, 1671,1)=41,10, p-value <0.001], that’s not case SNP [F(5,73, 1671,1) = 1.09, 0.367]. However, multivariate test suggested association these age DM status [F(4, 583)=2.48, 0.043]. In conclusion, may require interaction other or genes induce resistance act by indirect glucose–fatty acid metabolic cycle mechanisms.

Genotyping Analysis of rs1799989 Single Nucleotide Polymorphism in TYR Gene Region in the Population of Isfahan, Iran
Background & Aims: Tyrosinase is the most important enzyme in the production of pigments of the skin, eyes, and hair follicles. The enzyme is encoded by tyrosinase gene (TYR) or oculocutaneous albinism type 1A (OCA1A). Mutations in TYR gene result in pigmentation disorders such as albinism in humans. In view of the large number of mutations reported in this gene, the aim of this study was to id...
متن کاملComparison of the Genetic Profile of rs4646994 Single Nucleotide Polymorphism of the ACE Gene in the Elite Male Weightlifters and Non-athletes
Introduction: The ACE gene encodes the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), which is characterized by the presence of allele I or the absence of allele D of a 287-bp fragment. The D allele is associated with higher ACE activity and increased angiotensin II levels and performance in strength-oriented exercise tasks. This study aimed to compare the genetic profile of rs4646994 single nucleotide p...

The Malaysian Cohort study was initiated in 2005 by the Malaysian government. The top-down approach to this population-based cohort study ensured the allocation of sufficient funding for the project which aimed to recruit 100,000 individuals aged 35-70 years. Participants were recruited from rural and urban areas as well as from various socioeconomic groups. The main objectives of the study wer...

Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) are the major cause of premature death and disability due to diseased globally, imposing a heavy burden on the health systems. Four main categories of NCDs are cardiovascular diseases, neoplasms, diabetes, and chronic respiratory diseases. Iran, the second greatest country in the Middle East Region, has been through an important transition period of communicable...
متن کاملSingle and Concurrent Effects of Endurance and Resistance Training on Plasma Visfatin, Insulin, Glucose and Insulin Resistance of Non-Athlete Men with Obesity
The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of endurance (ET), resistance (RT) and concurrent training (CT) on plasma levels of visfatin, insulin, glucose and insulin resistance of non-athlete men with Obesity. It was a semi-experimental study. Thirty six men [age: 21.48 (0.25), and BF%: 27.39 (0.52)], voluntarily participated in this study after public announcement in univer...
